“My Way” (featuring Joe Dukie of Fat Freddies Drop) is the second official single from the debut album ‘Getting Closer’ by CLOSE, a new production alias from producer, DJ and label owner Will Saul. “For me Joe Dukie has one of the best voices on the planet so it was a bit of dream come true to get to work with him. I worked with Fink in his studio in Brighton where we recorded his band (drummer and bass player) – the instrumental is all live and one take. We then sent this over to Dallas (Joe Dukie) and he sent back his vocals. Midland and Dusky are part of my core crew at Aus and really hitting their stride at the moment so natural choices for remixers for this single” CLOSE The “My Way” single (which also includes remixes from Dusky, Midland & Tanner Ross) will be out June 24th. The Getting Closer album comes out June 11th on !K7 Records.

Just released this very morning is Charles I and Tre’s first collaborative EP entitled ‘Satellites.’ It is a six track EP which includes three original tunes and three stellar remixes by Casino Gold, Craig Williams and Damaged Goods. The three tracks, Titania, Rhea, and Callisto are all named after natural satellites, or moons in our solar system. This release is full of unique sounds taken from every day technological activities that were made into samples and sounds. It is a very well done EP because you can tell that the two producers stressed the importance of detail and made a sequence that flowed properly throughout the entire EP. The EP guides the listener on an intrepid adventure into space age aesthetics. Satellites tells us that the present is a thing of the past and the future is now. We hope to hear more from this collaboration and you can expect them to be playing some shows in Los Angeles in the near future.

This Friday, Sound is hosting a very special lineup, comprised of Leeds producer and badgirl Laura Jones, “All Day I Dream” label co-owner Matthew Dekay and Culprit bossmen Droog… Yeah it’s that good. Laura Jones is a protégé under the Visionquest banner and nurtured under the wings of Leftroom. Laura exploded into the public consciousness in 2011 with her deep and intrinsically melodic vision of house. Leftroom and Visionquest quickly picked up on her production ability and now we get to hear her thrash the decks in just a few nights time. Matthew Dekay is a Dutch electronic music composer and DJ whose label “All Day I Dream” is responsible for pushing some of today’s most romantic, melancholic and emotional house music we hear today. We had the pleasure of having Matthew Dekays label partner Lee Burridge a couple weeks ago, and if his set is anything like Lee’s, then we are all in for something very special. And if that isn’t enough for you, Culprit henchmen Droog are fulfilling their residency, and like I tell people every week, their set alone is always worth coming out for.
Alex & Stef of London duo Tough Love are the culprits of this weeks T.G.I.M. We have been supporting these two producers for a little bit now, so I was happy to see there was a live mix available from them today. Was I surprised when it turned out to be the best mix of the day? … NO, and neither was Rinse FM and Mark Radford who so kindly hosted them for this LIVE hour of heaters. The mix is available for free download and there is an exclusive interview to wrap things up. I am proud of these guys, I knew they had the right stuff and I feel like more and more people are starting to see it too.

Following recent successes including the huge Miami Sleaze we re-introduce a star pairing from our Future Sleaze series, Framewerk. You would of by now heard the amazing singles As If (Miami Sleaze) & Don’t You Want My Love (Future Tease) pumped around the globe and now it’s time to let the full spotlights & disco ball beam their shining light on this HOT UK duo. Framewerk clearly have neon skills oozing through their blood adding super sexiness into their productions. As If, a clear summery sleazathon with killer R&B vocals so addictive, seducing you to sing along even after the record has stopped! Don’t You Want My Love samples the (legendary) Jomanda/Felix’s 1992 smash Don’t You Want Me. Framewerk bring the bpm down and turn the sexiness up with lush pads and a huge build featuring Jomanda’s sultry hot voice which frenzies the listener, penetrating the floor hard. A seriously top rework and essential set ending material. For the remixes we’ve enlisted a newcomer to Sleazy Deep, Alceen. Alceen was introduced to us from a license of Pete Oak’s Want You So, we loved what he did with it so had to get this god from Greece to work his magic on As If. The results are epic turning in a seriously dynamic bouncing mix with big breakdowns and dance-floor magic ready to get any crowd jumping. Next up is another Miami Sleaze star you will see a lot more of on Sleazy Deep. Danish super producer KANT takes Jomanda’s vocal and pitches it down with great effect, another killer big room slab of the finest deep & brooding house music. Sleazy main player Shimmer returns again with his version of As If, trade mark bass leads the way with his now known epic breakdowns merging the lines between 80′s retro cool & deep hypnotic nu skool. This mix really captivates the soul, emotive, forward thinking ear juice. Finally we introduce a new player to our fold with KANT’s friend Notize, you will hear more from him soon!!! already collaborating with Pete Oak he’s gonna be one to watch and his mix of Don’t You want My Love really shows the skills within this youngsters hands. Another seriously hot package from your Sleazessential team keeping it deep, Sleazy Deep!!!! Purchase [HERE]
