M.A.N.D.Y. – Twisted Sister Comments

Get Physical is in its tenth year; and up to its 200th (Single) release. To celebrate, founders and owners M.A.N.D.Y. went to the studio in Brooklyn with their soulmate Jimmy Vallance; and what they came out with is nothing short of enchanting. 'Twisted Sister' is a deep blend of driving percussion and beautiful basslines laced together by ambient elements floating throughout the track. The track itself is a perfect example for superior and modern sound design and will certainly find its way into various DJ bags. 'Superstitious' raises the kicks and adds various layers of pads to create the late night feeling we all know and love. The synths rise and fall, elevating the temperature and energy creating a heavy vibe that is sure to make you sweat. You'll also notice the change in the cover design, this release marks the begining of Get Physical's new Artwork direction (we like it). Favoring simpler and smoother visuals, keeping the focus where it should be: on the music, now thats TUFF. Danny Daze – RA. 344 | Podcast Comments

Danny Daze RA. 344 The man from Miami. Danny Daze's breakthrough track, "Your Everything," placed him at the vanguard of the slower, '80s-influenced house sound that has come to prominence these past two years. It was two of the style's chief proponents, Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, who first recognized the track's potential, signing it to their Hot Creations label at the start of 2011. With its K-addled robo vocal, "Your Everything" went on to become the unofficial anthem of last year's WMC; CONTINUE READING

Modek – 3 days – 3 tracks Comments

Modek is still on fire after releasing his "The Family EP" just two months ago, coming out with multiple heaters in the past couple of days. The first track is a funky electro track, a remix of one of my favorite producers right now, Netsky's 'We Can Only Live Today.' Second track Modek uploaded for us is another remix, this time its of Mad Owl's 'Glacier.' This sound just gets my blood flowing, that future electro Boys Noize filth that makes you want to kick something and feel good about it. I CONTINUE READING

The Mansisters – E.P. Phone Home | EP Comments

The Mansisters is the new moniker of Scandinavian duo Kasper Bjørke and Jon Atli / Sexy Lazer, a pair who have both had previous successes as producers on the individual level and now have decided to recently work together under this new project. "Now, so the story goes, they have joined forces and set up camp together in a huge Copenhagen mansion where they live with a host of plastic & porcelain animals, apparently not having time for real pets due to their dance floor commitments.' The CONTINUE READING

T.G.I.M.: Rodion – Halloween In Mexico Minimix Comments

Electrique Music brings us this very appropriate Rodion, 'Halloween In Mexico Minimix' just in time to start getting in the mood for the darkest part of the year. Halloween to us is synonymous with a couple things: dark nights, cold weather, short skirts and deep, sexy tunes. A recipe for some of the best nights of the year. Rodion has got my week going in the right direction with this weeks T.G.I.M. and I couldn't be happier about it. This silky Italian knows how to put together a mix and I CONTINUE READING
