hot-since-82-hot-jams-volume-2Today Hot Since 82 has released nis new EP 'Hot Jams Volume 2' on Noir Music. Hot Since 82 has been one of the biggest names in the Deep House scene, his releases and remixes have gained a lot of attention over the past 12 months. First up on the EP is Mr. Drive, this track provides a psychadelic feel that is due to the vocal samples, the pulsating synths.   The next offering is Pour The Sugar, which has a much more soulful feel due to its vocal samples. The third track Don't be afraid has a much darker feel in comparison to the other tracks. Finally, Phat Tool brings us back to a warm comfortable sensation leaving us with a feeling of satisfaction after the EP has ended. You can purchase the EP on Beatport [Here].

We spotlight on Yanis Pappakonstantinou aka Yannis PK. He was raised in a small village in Northern Greece and he began focusing on Classical and Jazz music. at the age of 8. Throughout his teenage years he saved up to buy gear and create his own studio, which eventually led him to a great engineering school. Pillowtalk – RA.350 | Podcast Comments

"Sammy on vocals. Mikey on laptop. Ryan on keys. The lineup alone should tell you that San Francisco's PillowTalk do things a little differently." This is how Resident Advisor introduced PillowTalk back in December upon their #11 entry in their top live acts poll. The position reflected a year in which the trio went from an up-and-coming US act in to a globally in-demand force, playing upwards of 70 shows across five continents. Ali Love Featuring Kali – Emperor | EP Comments

Here you have the newest release by Crosstown Rebels. Ali Love’s new track Emperor ft. Kali is a lyrical gem with a funky back beat. The EP includes a dub and two remixes, the remixes are are by Maceo Plex and Waze and Odessey. My favorite being the Maceo Plex remix with his innovative use of white noise and vocoded vocals alongside pensive synths, Plex continues to expertly toe that fine line between experimental and accessible. This track has after-hours written all over it, evident by its prevalent CONTINUE READING
