CRSSD Festival – Review and Footage

CRSSD Festival – Review and Footage Comments

After taking a week to properly recover from what is now one of my favorite weekends of the year, I wanted to do a quick recap of why CRSSD Festival has become a "must go to" event of the year. Owned by Goldenvoice and run by FNGRS CRSSD, the San Diego "boutique festie" held about 15,000 attendies both Saturday and Sunday. The grounds were in a prime location, just off the marina and nestled in between the water and the city. The event site was beautiful and the doors and hospitality were run CONTINUE READING

I just got back from an amazing weekend at Minus Zero Festival and I could not be happier to just sit down put my headphones on for a while. The weekend was wild to say the least and was jam packed with talent such as Lee Burridge, Jon Charnis and Jamie Jones just to name a few. The snow was falling hard, but that only made the dance floor go nuts, so even though it was cold, I have to tip my hat to all you attendees for keeping the vibes on point. For my decompression hour I have chosen a new CONTINUE READING

The BPM Festival 2015 *Recap* – Top Shows & BPM Doorly Podcast Comments

- Matthew Miller It has been over a week since our BPM adventure ended and I must say that we needed this time to reflect on what happened and how it has changed us. We went to the festival last year and came back with a newfound appreciation for the music, environment and culture, but when we stepped off the plane this second time, we had no idea how much this week would affect us. It was a different trip for us this year because half of our crew was getting there for the first half of the CONTINUE READING
SYMBOL:FLAME – Underground Culture at a Glance

SYMBOL:FLAME – Underground Culture at a Glance Comments

Exactly one year to date, I found myself wandering through Mayan ruins somewhere in deep Playa Del Carmen, Mexico when I ran into someone I would become very close to. I had been up for about 48 hours straight, still high on life from dancing through the night into morning, but something about this particular person intrigued me. I stopped and sat down with him, really with nothing else in mind but to tell him my name and wish him a good day. He was draped in black had a thick beard and a smile CONTINUE READING

New Faces: Seff | Support from Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Gorgon City Comments

Well here's one from out of the blue... Heard this on Radio 1 the other day from Richy Ahmed on Skream's show. This absolutely MASSIVE jacker of a tune can be traced back to a man we know as Seff, and not much else.  He's been releasing music for a couple of years now, notably on Steve Lawler's VIVa Music since late 2012.  To be fair, these are some rock-solid underground cuts including a sweet collaboration with Alex Darling, but in the last couple of months, Seff's sound has reached new CONTINUE READING
