Bassnectar – Divergent Spectrum Remixes Comments

All hail Bassnectar! This pack kicks off with a collaborative remix I did with my good buddies TERRAVITA. We traded the files of “Upside Down” back and forth for a few months, and the final master that Seth did makes this one of the loudest, wildest drops to date! After that is a remix of “Red Step” by none other than Dim Mak‘s label boss, STEVE AOKI. A definitive electro house banger with a beefy halftime drop, he has been the only DJ with this weapon for a few months; now CONTINUE READING

Steve Aoki feat Wynter Gordon – Ladi Dadi (Official Video) Comments

The second single from Steve Aoki's album Wonderland, "Ladi Dadi" pulsates with a grimy dubstep vibe that helps to enunciate the song. In the video, Steve and Wynter Gordon dive head first into a "Mr. & Mrs. Smith"-esque plot line. Steve and Wynter play a gorgeous couple who, after tying to seduce each other, also try to beat the crap out of each other. Aoki explained in an interview with Rolling Stone: "This was the first time I ever got to do action [in a music video]. I loved the entire CONTINUE READING

Electro_TUFF Comments

Monday is gone forever, Wednesday is yet to be. All we have is today and lets kill it. Here are some heavy electro tracks to get you mind jiving. With sizzling synths and reverberating basslines mixed into chunky beats is the hallmarks of Electro music. The lead section introduces the core mix of drum and synth elements often heard throughout the track. The chord progression in each section shifts around every four, eight or even sixteen bars, which the DJ perfects in detail before laying down the CONTINUE READING

[Release] Tiesto & Steve Aoki – Tornado (Original Mix) Comments

Big in collaborations this year, Steve Aoki has had his fun with the likes of Afrojack, Laidback Luke to Lil John and Armen Van Helden. Now he gives us a tease of what to expect from release 'Tornado’ with Tiesto, set to release November 15th. If you saw the preview video a few weeks ago, then I already know your excited about this one. Well, the song’s been leaked. (big surprise huh?) Its got a nasty infusion of progressive builds and knee-wobbling drops, most likely forcing your CONTINUE READING

Dada Life – Fight Club is Closed | It’s Time for Rock ‘n’ Roll Comments

Ever since they teased me a few weeks ago with the preview I’ve been craving this DADA LIFE track. As usual it has their signature Dada Life touch, with a heavy synth rhythm and a driving bass line that will keep your soul engaged and slice your eardrums wide open!  Personally this is one of my favorite tracks from them to date.  Anything this Swedish electro house duo touches is gold.  One thing’s for sure; nobody does synths quite like the DADA. Besos!       If CONTINUE READING
