The Footnotes: Summer Watch Comments
When it gets hot out one of my favorite looks is a clean white t (I tend to go with the normal collar but you can do a v-neck too) and a watch that speaks for itself. I’m not talking about something that looks like it belongs around a raver’s neck. Rather, I mean a timepiece that shows sophistication to balance out the casual feel of the rest of your outfit. Every fashion source will tell you when summer comes around to switch your watch band to a cotton or nylon one that looks like you just came from the yacht club. But when everyone is getting the same advice that shit gets played out quicker than Jenco pants. I recommend getting a solid leather band, and not a textured crocodile skin; rather get a smooth leather that only increases in character with time. I just picked up the below Il Bisonte watch, but I also recommend going the vintage route like some of the examples we have here.
