The Lost Weekend: Hot Natured, Richy Ahmed + Robert James @ The Standard Downtown LA
The last weekend of August in Los Angeles is fast becoming one of the main global destinations for the fans of New Wave of Underground dance music. For the second year running, our scene’s cognoscenti descend upon Los Angeles in droves in anticipation of the mad week in the desert, aka Burning Man. This presents a unique and un-passable opportunity to catch some of the top modern house and techno talents in the same place, in one long, lost weekend.
This year’s Get Lost (Saturday) to Hot Natured (Sunday) double-header is bigger and badder than a year before. Culprit Sessions’ contribution to the weekend-to-remember is the second annual Hot Natured meets Culprit bonanza. As the centerpiece of this party, is the much-anticipated and raved-about world class tag team, known as Hot Natured (Jamie Jones and Lee Foss). Very little introduction is needed for this pair, much virtual ink has been spilled on these pages talking about these fellas. Suffice it to say, when these two take over a party, something epic and exciting is bound to happen. This year, the boys will be supported not just by their right-hand man Richy Ahmed but by their other top lieutenant, Robert James. Hot Creations (Jamie and Lee’s label) is properly present in the house of Culprit. Rejoice!
